We stayed in Black Eagle house (2 couples and 2 children) 4 spacious bedrooms, 4 bathrooms Lovely, double volume open plan living area and kitchen. The wind was pumping, so we ended up being indoors quite a bit and that was still fun and comfortable. Nice walk to the donkeys and swimming pool. We were the only guests this particular weekend and it was really quiet and serene and we felt like we are in our own little bubble.

This is the second year we've held our teambuilding weekend at this venue. We stayed at the Farmhouse, Black Eagle and Honey Badger and I can hands down say that the Farmhouse is my favourite. It was our base for the whole weekend and so spacious that we could all gather to prep food and just chill out either on the porch or in the living room when it got too cold ( definitely used the fireplace the whole weekend lol).

We had our wedding here, and decided to make it a weekend, with guests staying on the farm. Romayne did an excellent job arranging everything, and putting us in contact with people to help out with additional requisites like flowers, cake and music. Since we had to organise this from abroad, her input was extremely helpful. Johan and Diana were gracious hosts, and luckily the wines weren't as dry as his sense of humour. This estate is off the beaten path, but it's truly a diamond in the rough, with great accomodation, friendly hosts always willing to go the extra mile, and an unassuming winemaker with a clear passion for his art, that shines in the flavour of the product.

As I know from my own experience, Fynbos Estate is an ideal venue for workshops of all kinds. The most recent group-based event I conducted there (in September 2021) was research based, involving such things as extensive discussions and painstaking interviews, preceded and followed by the need for careful reflection. This required an environment that was quiet, tranquil, and comfortable; and Fynbos Estate, with its wide variety of venues and spaces, provided all that. Equally important, the Estate’s catering and recreational facilities are outstanding, which meant that it was able to meet all the needs of the participants for food, drink, wonderfully recreative walks, and so on.. The place is idyllic, too. The farm – which encompasses a mountain nature reserve – has extraordinary natural beauty, the accommodation is aesthetically (and comfortably) designed, and Diana and Johan are warm and welcoming hosts What's more, the Estate is just an hour out of Cape Town, easy to find, and the road is excellent the entire way. I’ll definitely be back! Very strongly recommended.
