Quinta da Boeira Visitors Centre offers a unique blend of wine tasting and history. Located at Rua Teixeira Lopes, 170, Vila Nova de Gaia, this venue invites you to sample exquisite wines produced on-site while surrounded by fascinating exhibitions. The centre features 23 meticulously crafted replicas of historical ships from the 15th and 16th centuries, showcasing the Age of Discovery. Among these impressive models are galleys, a ship from the Armada to India, and a galleon that sailed to Brazil, all designed with remarkable attention to detail. Additionally, you can view the 19th century frigate "Queen of Portugal." Being the tour self-guided, you can take your time to enjoy our cellar and the charming century old garden which surround the Manor House dated from 1850. During the tasting, you will learn about Port Wines and the Unesco landscape of the Demarcated Region of Douro. This combination of fine wines, rich maritime history and nature creates an unforgettable experience for visitors. Don't miss the chance to enjoy a delightful afternoon at Quinta da Boeira!

A very pleasant visit. We enjoyed it very much. We tried 2 types of port wine, one white, and another one and it was so delicious 😋 that we bought a bottle of red table wine, and two 100 ml bottles of port. The tasting was included in the Buscaunchollo reservation.

It's a bit far from the center, but it's worth it. We tried two ports, a white and a red (tawny), both very good. We would have liked a more detailed explanation of the tasting, as I had to ask around to learn more about them. They also have an interesting exhibition room with model ships from the period. It's a shame we couldn't take any of them home (flight issues).

The visit is not guided, you go on your own, but during the tasting they explain things very well.
