We can only compliment Ginevra, the young woman who welcomed us, conducted our tour of the vineyards and cellars, and explained in a clear, engaging, and absolutely professional manner all the key elements that go into producing a high-quality wine like the one we finally tasted. It is an experience I highly recommend to anyone who wants to understand and appreciate all the meanings of Valpolicella according to the convincing interpretation of the Meroni winery.

I discovered this winery, I would say, 3 years ago and out of laziness I'm only posting the review after 4 or 5 visits 😉. For me it is a reference point for Valpolicella: great old-style wines, as I like them, and great hospitality and competence from Carlo and his colleague at the point of sale. Feeling at home, pampered and looked after with great attention and professionalism. The Amarone "il Velluto" and the special "Fondatore" are authentic masterpieces. To approach the subject, the ordinary Amarone "Carlo Meroni" is a cornerstone. Niche cellar: for lovers of the genre. See you soon. Alberto Z.

Among the many wineries in the classic Valpolicella area, we chose the Meroni farm because of its good reviews. We booked the local tasting, which took us on a wonderful journey where we could feel the love for the land and the great passion for one's work, which we could then enjoy in the glass at the moment of tasting. Spectacular Amarone, even the Superiore is worth buying, really remarkable.
