Discover the wine hills of Bologna with Sarah - local wine guide
We'll meet at Bologna station and take the train together, about 30 minutes. After a delicious breakfast at an excellent pastry shop and café we'll have a 20 minute walk on quiet roads to our first winery stop for a tour and tasting.
The winery is run by a young, enthusiastic team, who love to share the history of the winery and give insights into their methods and choices. If weather permits, the tasting is on a spacious panoramic terrace surrounded by vines - the views are stunning! Generous food pairings are included so we'll have plenty of energy to continue our walk, which is all on quiet country roads with stunning views.
This stage of the walk is about 5.5km and when we reach the second winery, a historic family-run estate, we'll enjoy an informative, in-depth tour and tasting paired with tasty local meats and cheeses.
From here it's just a 5 minute stroll to the station for our train back into central Bologna.
This is a one-way walk, all on country roads, for a total of about 7km.

Great experience!
It was a great day. Sarah was very friendly and has a lot of knowledge she shared with us. At the beginning we had a very good breakfast. The two wineries were very interesting and we have few very good wines. At the end we got few notes, where we can have a good diner in Bologna. We absolutely recommend this tour with Sarah, it is unforgettable!
