WineTourism.com uses Stripe secure payment solutions to handle payments going from visitors, through WineTourism.com and out to our partners (the wine experience providers).

How to register?

Step 1

Log in to your Winery or Wine
Tour Guide profile.

Step 2

Once you are into your profile page, go to the 'Bank details' section and click on 'Connect my Stripe Account'.

If you are new to Stripe, enter an email. In the next step, you will be asked to create a password.

If you already have a Stripe account, enter the email and the password for the account.

Step 4

An email with a verification code will be sent to the email address you entered. Go into your inbox, retrive the code sent to you and enter it here.

Step 5

Enter the location of your business and the the type of your business.

Step 6

Enter your personal details.

Step 7

Enter more information about your business. These fields are required.

Step 8

Enter your bank account details, routing number and account number.

Step 9

Add some information on how you want your business ame to appear on receipt and payment statemens.

This step is optional, you do not have to fill this in. Click on "No thanks" to continue. You will now be redirected back to your account at WineTourism.com.

Frequently asked questions about Stripe Connect

What is Stripe?

Stripe is a global online payment system that guarantees automated, encrypted and secure payment of services between customers and providers. You can read more on their website www.stripe.com.

Why is WineTourism.com using Stripe?

The aim is to fully automate the payment handling process.
This means that the manual work of requesting payment via invoice will be replaced by an automated payout system where you do not have to request payment from us, nor issue an invoice to get your payment. Payments will be made much more quickly to your Stripe account and bank account!

Will Stripe Connect cost me anything?

Neither WineTourism.com nor Stripe will charge any fees to you for using Stripe Connect as long as you are using the same currency in your bank account as your connected Stripe account.
We always recommend our partners confirm directly with their own bank that the bank does not apply any additional fees, as this is outside our control.

What do I have to do to activate Stripe in my account?

You need to have an active Stripe account and connect it to the WineTourism.com Stripe account so that you can receive payouts from successfully completed wine experiences.
You will need your bank account details ready, the process takes 5-10 minutes.
Log in here to your WineTourism.com account to start the registration.

How will I be paid once I have connected my Stripe account to WineTourism.com?

You will connect your Stripe account to your own bank account. That way, once.
We do not have any kind of access to your bank account, we are only able to make payments into your Stripe account. You can then decide in your Stripe account how often you wish to transfer money from your Stripe account to your bank account (once a day, once a week, once a month etc).

How will invoices work? Do I still need to issue an invoice to get paid?

As a winery, you won't create or issue an invoice to us in order to receive payment anymore.
• Invoices will be automatically generated when payment is made for a successfully completed booking.
• Invoices will be recorded and downloadable from your WineTourism.com account.
• The customer receipt of payment is automatically generated via Stripe and will receive a copy as well.
However, you are still responsible for the provision of an invoice to the end customer, should the customer ask for such an invoice.

Is it compulsory to connect Stripe to continue collaboration with WineTourism.com?

We highly recommend that wineries set up Stripe accounts, which is a quick and effortless process taking only 5-10 minutes. However, if they choose not to utilize Stripe, we will have to impose supplementary administrative fees and bank transfer charges on their transactions. Nevertheless, we encourage wineries to adopt Stripe as it not only facilitates smooth transactions with us but also prepares them for other platforms that require digital payment solutions, making it a prudent investment for their business.
