Feria Profesional de Vinos y Alimentos Ciudad de Alicante

Valencia Spain 2 March 2026 (5th edition)

Feria Profesional de Vinos y Alimentos Ciudad de Alicante is one of the wine festivals that anchors the Valencia calendar, drawing both local visitors and international wine travellers each year. It is held at Hotel Alicante Golf in Alicante, in the heart of one of Spain's most distinctive wine areas. The festival has been running since 2022 and reaches its 5th edition in 2026, giving it one of the longer track records among wine events of its kind.

Professional wine and food fair for restaurant, distribution, and HORECA sector professionals. Wine trade fairs are the most efficient way to taste a broad cross-section of producers in a short time. Attendees can expect organised tasting halls grouped by appellation, masterclass programmes with guest speakers, sommelier-led sessions on individual grape varieties, and structured opportunities to meet producers. Most major events are reserved for trade visitors — buyers, importers, sommeliers, journalists, restaurateurs — but include public-facing days or evenings during the run of the event. The events have grown into key fixtures of the international wine industry calendar, with several drawing buyers from over 60 countries. The event is organised by City of Alicante / HORECA sector, which sets the tone and direction of the programme each year.

Valencia wine region runs along Spain's Mediterranean coast, with the Valencia DO and Utiel-Requena DO covering most of the production. Bobal is the regional flagship red grape, with Tempranillo, Monastrell and Garnacha also widely planted. Whites are made from Macabeo, Merseguera, Moscatel and Chardonnay. The region also includes the Alicante DO further south, producing Monastrell-based reds and the historic Fondillon dessert wine, and the small Pago appellations including El Terrerazo and Chozas Carrascal.

The 2026 edition is scheduled for 2 March 2026 (5th edition). Cost details are best confirmed directly with the organiser ahead of travel. Full programme, ticketing and updated information are published on the official site at Unknown. Visitors are advised to check directly with the organiser for the latest schedule, as festival programmes are sometimes updated close to the event date.

Valencia is reached via Valencia airport, with the AVE rail network connecting Valencia to Madrid in under 2 hours. Utiel-Requena sits about 70 km inland from Valencia city. Alicante (further south) is reached via Alicante-Elche airport, with the wine areas of Vinalopo and Marina Alta as the main wine-tourism zones in the province. Valencian cuisine pairs the wines with paella valenciana (the original chicken-and-rabbit version), arroz a banda, fideua, all-i-pebre (eel and potato stew) and horchata de chufa (tiger-nut milk).
