Amarone Della The Founder - Cantine Giacomo Montresor
The grapes, selected cluster by cluster, are harvested during the months of September and October and left to dry in boxes for about 3 months. The vinification is traditional of red wines, with soft destemming and pressing and subsequent maceration on the skins. Then takes place the racking and aging in wood for about 2 years. Refinement in the bottle follows before release. Rather deep garnet red color. It has a characteristic aroma of ripe red fruit and cherries in alcohol, an austere and velvety flavor with an aftertaste of almond, blackberry and spices.
