Spanning 3 hectares, the estate features 2 hectares dedicated to vineyards and 1 hectare to olive groves. The vineyards are meticulously arranged across several terraces, constructed to ensure optimal sun exposure throughout the day. The mild, well-ventilated climate, combined with volcanic soils, creates ideal conditions for grape cultivation. The winery focuses on two indigenous grape varieties: Caprettone, used for the white Lacryma Christi, and Piedirosso, which is used for the red Lacryma Christi. All grapes used in production are sourced from the estate itself. The winemaking process occurs in specially designed facilities, while the aging and storage of bottled wines take place in a natural cave, carved into volcanic rock at a depth of 4 to 5 meters. This cave, excavated in 1780, maintains a consistent temperature and humidity year-round. I had the pleasure of staying at the B&B Fuoco Muorto these days and the experience was simply extraordinary. The structure is surrounded by nature and offers an atmosphere of peace and tranquility that allows you to completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The rooms are spotless, tidy and furnished with attention to detail, giving a feeling of comfort and warmth. The owners are exquisite people: friendly, helpful and always ready to make you feel at home. Their hospitality was one of the aspects I appreciated most and that made the stay even more pleasant. The B&B is also a farm that produces a very high quality wine that I had the opportunity to taste during my stay. If you love local and authentic products, this is definitely a plus point that should not be underestimated. I would like to sincerely thank the owners for their courtesy and for making my stay an unforgettable experience. I will definitely be back!

Visited for the winery. We did not have a reservation for the tasting, which I would recommend. However, Gennaro was very accommodating and took care of us. To be frank, I get “tour” burnout. But the experience here was fantastic. It felt very personal and genuine, the views are amazing, and cave is a unique aspect. The food with the wine was wonderful. And we never felt hurried. As for the wine, excellent. Highly recommend stopping here and leaving with a few bottles.
