Poggio Santa Maria Winery is situated on the picturesque hills connecting Castiglione del Lago and Montepulciano. Established in 2021, it marks the culmination of a decade-long vision initiated by owner Massimiliano Marchetti, a surgeon with a passion for winemaking. This young winery honors the legacy of his father, Mario, and grandfather, Vittorio, while prioritizing sustainable practices and a commitment to environmentally friendly production.

At Poggio Santa Maria, the focus is on quality over quantity. The winery produces a select range of products, including BIO IGT wines, DOC wines, and EVO DOP BIO olive oil, as well as semolina and Senatore Cappelli Bio wheat pasta.
