Caminhos Cruzados

The Santos family, rooted in Nelas, established Caminhos Cruzados to pursue their lifelong passion for winemaking. This love for wine began with the older generations, who celebrated harvests with family and friends, crafting handcrafted wines in their home. Today, Caminhos Cruzados represents "The New Dão," blending traditional winemaking with modern techniques to create high-quality wines that reflect the evolving market.

The New Dão: Elegance, Complexity, Terroir

Located in the heart of Dão at Quinta da Teixuga, Caminhos Cruzados features 42 hectares of vineyards surrounding a contemporary winery. This innovative design symbolizes the region's revival, earning it the title of "The New Dão." The winery offers a unique experience for wine tourism, showcasing the beauty and potential of this historic wine region.

Crafting Memorable Wines: The Passion of Caminhos Cruzados

Caminhos Cruzados is dedicated to producing wines that are modern, refined, and authentic. The legacy of Avô Coelho dos Santos, a passionate advocate for Dão wines, inspires their mission. Each bottle carries the winery's signature, representing a commitment to quality and creativity. Visitors are welcome to tour the winery and vineyards, gaining insight into the winemaking process from grape to glass.

We were very kindly welcomed by a guild who spoke Portuguese, English and a little French. She knows the products of the house very well, I recommend her (Ignè) was our host.

Excellent visit, guide by Luís Filipe! It shows an enormous influence on the region of God, and the greenhouses influence the wine production of the area, and in this way this geographical factor contributes to giving personality to the wines of God and Caminhos Cruzados. Interesting in how the community joins together for the production of its wines, reflecting a question of these people, which is wine and wine production. A scheduled visit of 1 hour which lasts up to 2 hours, very familiar with the way Luis dresses in the shirt of the house. We can hope to continue the success of this project and hope to meet again soon. Cumprimentos do Oeste!

Excellent tour guiado pelo Luís, detentor de um notável conhecimento sobre a história da empresa e region. Que aula tivemos nessa experiência. A quality of the wines, a taste, a history and details of this explicação enriqueceram ainda mais a visita. Great satisfaction and a consultation in the same region. A equipe está de parabens.

Visit 26.07.2024 As we resell the Titular range in Belgium, we were very eager to see where the product finds its origin. We were not disappointed. We got a tour around the estate, where a very friendly guide Inês informed us about the winery, the grapes and the process. Afterwards we enjoyed a wonderful lunch with perfect winepairing. Caminhos Cruzados only serves one group at a time in an open kitchen, so we were in close contact with chef Miguel who presented us with very fine cooking in an homelike atmosphere. The chef and guide made us and our kids (one year and five year) feel very welcome. We would like to thank CC, Inês and Miguel for their hospitality and the enjoyable afternoon!
