Cantina di Casorzo: A Winery Rooted in Community

Located in the picturesque valley between Casorzo and Grana, Cantina di Casorzo Winery is a short drive from the unique Bialbero, where a cherry tree and a mulberry tree thrive together. The winery's vineyards span 200 hectares, showcasing ten distinct denominations of origin, each contributing to the rich tapestry of Piedmont's wine culture.

A Winery with a Rich Heritage

Founded in 1951, Cantina di Casorzo celebrated its first harvest in 1954. Today, Cantina di Casorzo produces around 15,000 hectoliters of wine from nearly 20,000 quintals of grapes, cultivated across 200 vineyards using both time-honored and contemporary methods.

A Diverse Selection of Grape Varieties

The winery cultivates a vibrant mix of grape varieties, including 30% Malvasia, 40% Barbera, and 15% Grignolino, along with Freisa, Dolcetto, Bonarda, Cortese, and Chardonnay. If you are here you absolutely must drink Malvasia, a superb sweet wine. And get some excellent salami at the ever-present counter at the entrance to the cellar. Then with wine, salami, cheese and bread, head to the nearby vineyards and enjoy them in the sun!

If you are in the area this is a must. The 'Ruche' is something you find only in this area. In simple words a red of very good quality at very good prices. Very helpful staff who are happy to look after you. Samples available also. No need to book.

My family and I have been frequenting the Cantina di Casorzo for many years now and we have never been disappointed: the product is of excellent quality, demonstrated by the many national and international awards won in recent years, and it is possible to choose from a wide assortment of wines; the quality-price ratio is excellent; the staff is really kind, witty and helpful towards the customer. A peculiarity of the winery is also that it often organizes lively events in the surroundings of Casorzo: for example, I found a country aperitif held at the double tree, which was lit up for the occasion, very particular and pleasant. We highly recommend a visit!
