"Grandfather Carlo left me a legacy to cherish and grow over time. Since I was a child, he taught me to love the land and its fruits, and to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to hard work. Passion is what defines everything I do — it’s the driving force that inspires me to keep improving, day after day."
LUCA DE RIZ / OWNER

Our story begins in 1983, among the gentle hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene — a stunning corner of northern Italy now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. That year, Grandfather Carlo De Riz purchased his first vineyard and a small hayloft, planting the seed of what would become our dream: a family winery built on love for the land and a deep respect for the art of winemaking.

In January 1984, Luca was born — a grandson whose arrival strengthened the family’s bond with this special place. After Carlo’s passing in 2004, Luca, freshly graduated from the renowned G.B. Cerletti School of Oenology in Conegliano, took the reins of the business with enthusiasm and determination. He transformed the old hayloft into a modern workspace and built a state-of-the-art winery, determined to express the very best of our land through each bottle we produce.

In 2014, together with his wife Ilaria, Luca opened the doors of the winery to visitors eager to explore the world of wine. This was the beginning of our tasting room and wine shop — a welcoming place where people can discover our wines, share stories, and create lasting memories. That same year, they welcomed their first daughter, Gioia, and celebrated her arrival with a rosé sparkling wine dedicated to her — a joyful symbol of new beginnings.

Two years later, in 2016, the family built their home next to the winery, so that Gioia could grow up surrounded by nature, among the vines and the fragrances of the vineyards. In 2019, another milestone arrived: wine tourism became officially recognized by law, and the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene were added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List. For us, sharing the beauty of this landscape with the world is the most authentic way to share our heart.

In 2020, the family grew again with the birth of their son Matteo. To celebrate, they created Matthaeus — a sparkling, dry, and genuine wine that reflects our desire to keep growing and innovating, while staying true to our roots.

Today, our winery is the result of decades of dedication, passion, and family. Every day, we strive to offer not only exceptional wines but also a warm and genuine welcome to everyone who visits us. Because for us, the true value of what we do lies in sharing the beauty, tradition, and soul of this land.

We did a guided tasting focused on bubbles; the girl who followed us during was very precise, the tasting was coherent and of excellent quality. To accompany the wines we had different foods, sweet and savory depending on the glass. Highly recommended!

We had the pleasure of discovering this winery by participating in the event organized for San Lorenzo. Fabulous location. The owners were very kind and during the visit they explained to us with passion and simplicity all the steps of producing prosecco and delighted us during the tasting with three of their bottles. I particularly appreciated the extra brut cortis, and Gioia, an extra dry rosé with minimal residual sugar, which gave it a sweet but not cloying flavour, unlike those tasted so far. The combination of the latter with dry biscuits is very welcome. The evening then ended with the observation of the stars among the vineyards in the presence of an amateur astronomer who guided us in the vision of clearly visible stars and celestial bodies. Everything perfect!

Absolutely gorgeous vineyard in the Prosecco hills. We were here as part of a guided Prosecco wine tasting tour, and it did not disappoint. We took a brief tour of the vineyard and were given an explanation of the winery and background information of Prosecco. We then had a tasting of three different Prosecco bottles, accompanied by some tasty local snacks. Pamela gave us tons of interesting information on the wines, which would fit both new Prosecco enjoyers and experienced enthusiasts.

A lovely and romantic place to spend an evening with their events. The vineyard is beautiful and evocative, you live in the family-run lambit... Immersed in the Prosecco hills, the panorama all around is also very suggestive..
