A Unique Estate Winery in Washington's Yakima Valley
The Dineen Family Legacy
Dineen Vineyards is nestled in the picturesque Yakima Valley AVA, a region known for its stunning landscapes and ideal grape-growing conditions. Founded in 2001 by Pat and Lanie Dineen, this winery stands out as one of the few in Washington State with its own estate vineyards. The couple transformed a 12-acre apple orchard into thriving vineyards, later expanding their estate to include additional land and naming their wines after cherished family members. Family values are at the heart of Dineen Vineyards, and visitors are welcomed with warmth and hospitality, making them feel like part of the Dineen family.
Exceptional Grape Varieties
Set against the backdrop of Mount Adams and Mount Rainier, Dineen Vineyards spans 75 acres of prime vineyard land. The winery specializes in grape varieties that thrive in Bordeaux and Rhône Valley regions, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Viognier, and Semillon. Unlike many vineyards in France, Dineen's vines are own-rooted, allowing for wines that express the unique characteristics of the local soil.
Handcrafted Wine Production
At Dineen Vineyards, every step of the winemaking process is handled with care. From planting to harvesting, all grapes are picked by hand to ensure quality. The winery employs gentle techniques to produce premium wines, focusing on minimal chemical additives. This commitment to natural processes allows the true essence of the grapes and the land to shine through in each bottle.
