Founded in 2010 by Giovanni and Angela Gurrieri, the winery benefits from the extensive winemaking experience of Giovanni's parents, Vicenzo and Graziella, who have been in the industry for over 50 years. Starting with 3.2 hectares of land, the Gurrieri family has expanded their vineyards by renting an additional three hectares. The winery embodies the traditional agricultural practices of the Ragusa area, with Graziella managing the administrative side while Giovanni's sons contribute their passion for crafting exceptional wines. The Gurrieri family remains committed to using traditional methods to produce high-quality wines.
The family carefully cultivates 60% Nero d’Avola and 40% Frappato, along with high-quality Grillo and Syrah, to create distinctive red wines. Each label represents approximately 3,000 bottles, ensuring a focus on quality over quantity. Write a reviewI have long wanted to visit a winery in Sicily where wine is made from local grape varieties and on our last visit this wish came true! I am very glad that my husband and I chose Gurrieri winery to visit and not the more famous Planeta or Donnafugata, where similar excursions are most often offered in Sicily! Gurrieri is a real pearl, a wonderful family winery with its own history, modern equipment and a very friendly atmosphere (Grillo's dog alone is worth it)! Here we walked through the beautiful vineyards of the estate, learned about all the stages of wine production - white, red and sparkling wine (here they produce both the classic method and the Charmat method) and finally tasted excellent wine of very high quality, accompanied by traditional Sicilian snacks! We really liked everything! My special thanks to Dominica - a real professional and a person who does her job with great passion! Thank you very much!

Excellent welcome, Dominika guided us both in the vineyard and in the cellar with professionalism, preparation and kindness ... a smile that persists in every moment. Careful tasting, typical high quality products combined with wines that demonstrate the passion, care and love for the territory. We liked it so much, an absolutely recommended experience.

A fantastic experience! We got a private tour of the vineyard with a passionate and very nice guide - who speak a perfect English. I highly recommend a visit there. The wines are delicious too.

Fantastic experience, place is beautiful and most importantly the wine is very good. We started with a very informative wine tour around the vine yards and then tasted the wines up stairs. There is a beautiful terrace with amazing views. The sommelier who did the tour is very passionate about the wines and went through so much detail, food paring was also good

We had a great tasting at this winery that is a perfect mix of modernity and tradition. Dominika is a passionate and super competent sommelier who is able to welcome with kindness, explain with professionalism and transmit her passion for wine with an enthusiasm that is contagious. Highly recommended experience, it was one of the highlights of our trip to this wonderful region!
