Quality Torgiano wines at Lungarotti
Giorgio Lungarotti founded the winery in the 1960s and gave new life to Torgiano and Umbria. The company works to make the best-quality wines using sustainable organic techniques. Umbria has a rich winemaking culture, and they continue to preserve and promote the land of their birth to the world. The team is well-experienced and combines modern technology with tradition to come up with the best Torgiano and Montefalco wines.
Sustainable practices at the winery
The quality of wines depends a lot on the work in the vineyards. The climatic and natural conditions in the area are ideal for viticulture. Sustainable and organic methods are used to protect the environment and the health of vines. The winery is the ninth Italian and first in Umbria to achieve the VIVA Verification certificate. It helps them minimize the effects of winemaking in nature and bring forward a nice natural wine for Italians and wine lovers worldwide. They even have the Green Heart Quality Certificate for their works.
Innovative and natural wines
The company grows Sagrantino and Sangiovese grapes for their popular red, white, rose, sparkling, and dessert wines. The stand out wine is the Rubesco that has a strong personality and ruby red color. Rubesco, along with the Riserva Vigna Monticchio, represents an era of Italian wine. In 2012, the wine completed its 50th anniversary. In the wine cellar, some old Rubesco vintages from the 60s rest. These are used in vertical tastings to showcase the features and ability of different vintages of the same wine label. Feel free to visit Lungarotti for an exciting wine experience.
