Monte del Frà, the Leading Winery of the Region
The Monte del Frà Winery is located among the morenic hills of Lake Garda and is the leading winery in the Custoza region, in Sommacapagna. Tenuta Lena di Mezzo, a newly established winery that is associated with Monte del Frà, situates in Fumane. The charming landscapes, the award-winning wines, and the kind hospitality of the Bonomo family attract visitors from all over the world.
Winemaking with Passion and Love
The history of Monte del Frà dates back to 1492 when a convent of friars was living in Veneto. In 1958, Massimo Bonomo found the winery and cultivated the grapes in a rented land of Northern Italy. The winery covers a territory of 140 hectares, out of which 68 are for renting purposes. Today, the third generation of the Bonomo family is managing this 20th-century winery, formerly owned by Eligio and Claudio. Marica, Silvia, and Massimo, the children, work with passion and dedication to produce luscious wines.
Enjoy the Beautiful Environment of Lake Garda
The rolling hills that surround the Lake Garda, a land shaped by glaciers, and the Mediterranean climate offer a suitable environment for the production of fine vines. In both the wineries, owners grow a wide range of grapes, including Garganega, Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, and Chardonnay. Monte del Frà Winery also cultivates fruity Trebbiano, Cortese, and Incrocio Manzoni, in combination with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Riesling. Through hard work and a true love for wine, Monte del Frà Winery produces high quality red, white, and rosé wines. Monte del Frà Winery is also a certified producer of sparkling and dessert wines under the finest appellations of the Veneto Region.
