Revalation Vineyards: Nurtured in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains
Revalation Vineyards grapes grow in the bounty of humid Virginia where the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains has nourished them to delicious blends.
What began as a serious passion has turned into a unique labour of love at Revalation Vineyards, where Françoise, a Belgian mathematician, and Julian, an Irish dentist have brought forth the wonderful expression of the Central Virginia terroir
Experience the great portfolio of excellent wines
Both are scientists by training, and perhaps it is no surprise that Revalation winery was conceived as a small science project – a series of experiments whereby they at first chose the grape varieties that produced the wines they liked and planted a small sample of each to see what would grow. Today, a wide range of grapes are cultivated, such as Petit Manseng, Viognier, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tannat, Sauvignon Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Albarino, and Chardonnay, producing a selection of white, rosé and red wines.
Perfect climate conditions guarantees stunning wines
The bright sunshine, plenty of rain and the fertile Virginia soil has the potential to produce excellent grapes, and Françoise and Julian have tilled these resources to produce equally, if not more, sublime wines at their winery. Across the production vineyard of roughly 7 acres of vines, very few chemicals are applied to the vines and no herbicide after the second leaf. Much attention is given to the harvesting, and there is a consistent striving for a niche that does not duplicate other growing regions, making the Revalation Vineyards wines truly one of a kind.
