A Legacy of Winemaking

The Dötsch family has a rich winemaking tradition that spans centuries. In 1983, Martin Dötsch's father took over the winery, merging it with the Heinrich Haupt Winery in 1986 to create a stronger family business. Since 2003, Martin and his wife Gaby have managed 12 hectares of terraced vineyards, practicing manual grape growing methods that honor the region's heritage and protect the environment.

We were at the “Feierabend” event at the Dötsch-Haupt winery. Great wine, very nice event. We would gladly go back anytime.

We booked a covered wagon ride and received a very warm welcome. We were picked up at the train station and dropped off there again afterwards. The wagon ride itself lasted around two hours and there were enough wines and types of wine available for the whole group, all of which were very tasty. We can only recommend that everyone book a tour like this - no one will regret it! Both owners were super friendly, nice and accommodating and always took all of the group's wishes into account and made them possible. In addition, the winery is one of the few that has designed an attractive website that makes it easy to find what you are looking for. All in all, it was a great experience that deserves to be repeated. Thank you!

Yesterday we went on a really nice wine hike with Mr. Dötsch. He led us through the vineyards of Kobern-Gondorf for two hours. We learned a lot about the village and its history and Mr. Dötsch gave us tips on sights and restaurants in the area. At the top of the vineyard we tasted three wines with a beautiful view. The wine was very tasty and in the end we were able to buy it directly in the shop. All in all, a really recommendable wine experience!

Very nice hosts and delicious wines. After work at the winery on the last Friday of every month is highly recommended. There are small treats and various wines. Atmosphere is very cozy and familiar.
