Villa Bogdano in the lap of nature
Villa Bogdano 1880 is a magical place, an ancient habitat witness to history and to the evolution of life, a centuries-old estate in an unspoiled place projected into a sustainable future that speaks of nature, life, and passion. With a forest dated 1200, the farm is located between two rivers, so that is a real natural reserve. In fact, it is a certified biodiversity site under Natura 2000. The real pearl of Villa Bogdano is its ancient vineyards, carefully preserved, a memory of the secular history of the territory. The most ancient vineyard is dated to the end of 1800.
Historic vineyards of the company
The estate has great architecture and culture, but the best part about it is the ancient vineyards. 18 hectares out of the 110 are historic. The native 117 vines of Tocai Friulano of the Lison Classico DOCG date back to the 19th century. Many other plots were planted during the 50s and 60s. The estate works hard to preserve these ancient vines and enhance local grape varietals. Lison, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Glera, Chardonnay,
Merlot, Cabernet, and Refosco also grow here.
Organic winery making natural wines
Since 1993, the company practices organic winemaking to protect nature and its ancient vineyards. Modern technology and equipment are used to make organic wines without any chemicals. The staff is well-trained to work efficiently and protect the environment as much as possible. The forest and natural habitat are a welcome sight for guests who visit the estate for wine tastings.
