A Winery Story

Welcome to Voskeni Wines, a family-owned vineyard and winery nestled in the picturesque Sardarapat region of the Ararat Valley. Our story is deeply rooted in the legacy of our great-grandfather, Smbat Mateossian, who journeyed from Boston to Armenia in the 1920s with a dream of crafting exceptional wines. Unfortunately, his aspirations were thwarted by the Bolshevik authorities, who seized his land and ultimately took his life.

Our Resilient Return

Nearly a century later, we, his descendants, returned to Armenia from Russia, reclaiming the vineyards that once belonged to our family. Today, we are proud to produce high-quality wines that reflect our heritage and dedication to the craft. At Voskeni Wines, we invite you to enjoy our exceptional selections while taking in the breathtaking views of Mount Ararat from our cozy restaurant terrace. Our family is always ready to welcome you, sharing not just our wines but also the rich history that inspires them.

Join us for a memorable experience in the heart of Armenia, where tradition meets quality in every bottle.

It was the best decision to come to Voskeni Winery on my birthday. Alina and her parents welcomed us as their family. A very picturesque place, delicious wine and food better than in any restaurant. Thank you for the warm welcome! We will definitely come back.

A wonderful place, immortal wines, a place where you can see how a person's hard, honest and consistent work can produce results. Special thanks to you, Mr. Smbat, for your hospitality and good environment.

This place is a must visit. When choosing your time, leave this winery for last. Choose a time after 17:00 to catch the sunset, the sunsets here are incredible. A winery with a soul, the owners are wonderful, responsive and very hospitable people. The assortment is varied, from light whites and pinks to aged autochthonous ones. A place you want to return to 🍇

Hello everyone who is reading this review! Armenia is a beautiful country that is rich in color and nature! I spent one of the most exciting days at the Voskeni winery! I would like to note the sincerity and hospitality of the owners of this winery, a delicious lunch and amazing wine! I highly recommend red wine Sardarapati, white Voskehat, and pink Siro Rose! This is your “must do” if you have been to Armenia!
