Experience the Charm of South Tyrol

Weingut Loacker, part of the esteemed Loacker Wine Estates, is one of three wineries under this family-owned brand. Established in 1979, it is nestled in the picturesque hills near Bolzano, in the stunning region of South Tyrol. Here, visitors can savor the unique alpine freshness of local wines, alongside renowned Tuscan varieties like Brunello di Montalcino and Morellino di Scansano.

Vineyards Above Bolzano

The winery cultivates seven hectares of vineyards, featuring traditional South Tyrolean grape varieties such as Vernatsch and Lagrein, as well as international favorites like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Situated 500 meters above sea level, the steep slopes benefit from a climate that combines warm days with cool nights, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and develop rich flavors.

Organic Winemaking Practices

For over forty years, the Loacker family has prioritized sustainable practices in their vineyards, employing organic-biodynamic methods that utilize homeopathic preparations. This commitment has positioned them as pioneers in modern organic and biodynamic viticulture in Italy and Europe. A visit to Weingut Loacker offers not only breathtaking scenery but also a chance to taste exceptional wines in one of Italy's northernmost regions. The Loacker family looks forward to welcoming you to their winery.

Warm welcome by the wife of one of the winegrowers: in a cabin we tasted local wines (notably the Lagrein and Vernatsch grape varieties) which are original and very well worked by the estate. You will find aperitif wines and wines accompanying hearty meals consisting of meat. Ask for a tour of the vineyard which has a panoramic view

We arrived in a spontaneous visit to Loacker winery and we were the only ones there. The host welcomed us in a warm welcome and we sat down in the pavilion for wine tasting. We tried 6 wines and they were all excellent, the view is exceptional and we also bought some bottles to take home. There was also the host’s dog Maya 🐶 which is super cute and our son enjoyed playing with her. Definitely worth a visit!

I had a perfect honeymoon in Italy, and one of the places that stayed with me the most is the Loaker Winery. The place is simply magical, an experience beyond words, and their wine… the best I have ever tasted. Now, six months later, I opened a bottle of wine I bought there and it instantly brought back memories of the quality, the taste, and the unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Northern Italy – don’t miss this winery! I had a perfect honeymoon in Italy, and one of the places that stayed with me the most is the Luaker Winery. After trying Chianti’s red wine, I kinda regret not getting any from Loacker 🥲 we did a wine tasting for 2 and it became the highlight of our trip in Bolzano. The wine selections were high quality, our host was friendly and knowledgeable, and we’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re looking for a local wine experience. Great view during the sunset too :)

We have been coming here for over 10 years. It is rare to find such loving and friendly staff these days. Very good wines of excellent quality and a breathtaking view round off the visit every time.
