Founded in 1965 by Matthias Breit, Weingut Breit has a rich history rooted in dedication and craftsmanship. After acquiring the winery, Matthias, along with his wife and son Manfred, laid a strong foundation for future generations. Completing his training in Trier, Matthias took over the winery in 1970, expanding both the estate and its wine sales. A significant upgrade to the wine cellar in 1988 equipped Weingut Breit with modern technology, enhancing their winemaking capabilities.
Since 2000, Holger Breit has continued this legacy, transforming the winery into a respected producer of exquisite German wines.
Weingut Breit is committed to sustainable practices, utilizing organic techniques in their vineyards. Located within 5 kilometers of the estate, their vineyards in Falkenberg, Goldtroepfchen, and Guenterslay benefit from the region's unique terroir. These methods not only promote the health of the environment but also ensure the quality of the grapes.
The Piesport region boasts a distinctive climate and soil composition, ideal for viticulture. At Weingut Breit, the team handpicks the finest grapes to craft complex and elegant Mosel wines. The primary grape varieties include Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Bacchus, and Rivaner, resulting in a diverse range of award-winning red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. Write a reviewOur holiday apartment was exactly the same as the pictures on the homepage - just a little dark. It's probably due to the overgrown garden and the "weak" lights - but it wasn't bad, we were only in the apartment to sleep. The refrigerator is filled with ready-to-drink products from the producers upon arrival. ;-) Very friendly, warm welcome and farewell from the owner couple. When we arrived, Ms. Breit-Borgwardt provided us with all sorts of information (bakers, butchers, supermarkets, excursion destinations, etc.). I would love to come here again.

We were in the KostBar two days in a row. The owner is very nice and accommodating. She was also able to convince us with the wine selection. On the second day we had the pleasure of talking to the senior. He was able to tell us a few anecdotes. The wine and the owners deserve at least 5 stars.

We were on the pitch in Piesport about 4 weeks ago. Since we like to drink a good glass of wine, we looked around the town and I discovered the Breit winery. I would receive a very friendly welcome and also receive expert advice. I then purchased 2 bottles of 2017 Pinot Noir aged in barrel. A very good wine! At home we ordered 12 bottles of the 2018 vintage. Mr. Breit called me because he didn't have our house number. The wine was delivered 2 days later, on account! Here too, at. 2018, top quality. We'd love to come back. Thank you again and all the best to the Breit family
