Paulushof, a Family-owned Holiday Winery Present in the Punderich
The Paulushof is a small family-owned holiday winery present in the Punderich, a historic wine region in the Middle Moselle. Karl and Tobias Dahm are responsible for the running of the business. The traditionally proven methods are combined with the latest and modern machines and technology to make the best possible wines for their customers. The Moselle lies between the Koblenz and Trier, in one of Germany’s most glamorous river valleys. It is far away from the busy city life in a peaceful and unique landscape. The Paulushof has comfortable apartments to accommodate their guests and visitors. People cycling or hiking in the Moselle can use their guest rooms for a nice and relaxing time using their sauna, hanging chairs, swimming pool, and open fire in the winters.
Only Organic and Sustainable Environment-friendly Methods
At their estate, only organic and sustainable environment-friendly methods are used. Their vineyards are present on the steep slopes of the region. The unique microclimate, soil, temperature, and rainfall make the region perfect for the cultivation of vines. Traditional methods of harvesting are used, and the main varieties of grapes that grow here include Riesling, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder, and Rivaner. The best grapes are handpicked and used to make their high-quality red, white, rose, sparkling, and dessert wines. The Riesling is the highlight of their estate, and the grapes are fermented in the cellar without the addition of yeasts. The use of sustainable viticulture protects the environment and helps them to make distinct wines that tell about the qualities of the Moselle.
