Postkellerei Winery: Nestled in the Scenic Moselle

Postkellerei Winery is a harmonious blend of creativity and tradition, set against the stunning backdrop of the Moselle region in Germany. Located in the Burg area, the winery spans three picturesque towns: Burg, Reil, and Enkirch. The vineyards benefit from an ideal climate, allowing for exceptional grape cultivation year-round.

Enjoy Exquisite Red and White Wines

Heinz Floter Senior's passion for grape farming began in the mid-20th century when he worked in the Moselle vineyards. He mastered the art of vine cultivation and winemaking, passing his knowledge to his son, Heinz Junior. Today, Heinz Junior oversees all operations at Postkellerei, which occupies 1.5 hectares of land. The winery employs both traditional and modern techniques to produce a range of refined red, white, dessert, and sparkling wines.

Riesling: The Crown Jewel of White Wines

The commitment to the Moselle region is evident in the vineyards, where over 40-year-old grapevines thrive. Riesling stands out as the flagship grape, complemented by other varieties such as Rivaner, Weissburgunder, and Dornfelder. The wines are aged in stainless steel tanks and 50-year-old wooden barrels, all stored in a climate-controlled cellar to ensure optimal quality.

During your visit, consider staying at the art hotel, Zur Post, which offers comfortable accommodations. Additionally, the estate features a unique restaurant where guests can savor regional dishes made from fresh, local ingredients.

Warm and friendly couple run the show. The wife is an artist and the place is filled with her art, the husband has won multiple awards for his wine from Postkellerei. Beautiful art gallery-like winery and good hotel rooms, quirky and memorable. Food was good, Schnitzel is a must. Quiet surrounding, perfect to unwind.

In the heart of the Moselle we stayed at the amazing "Zur Post" where you will be very well looked after by the Flöter family. A fantastic breakfast is served at the table, in the café you can enjoy your own wines and we received fantastic tips on how to best enjoy the beautiful Moselle valley.

Great hotel with a restaurant and bar, the terrace is small but very cozy. Here the boss plays flamenco on the guitar. The wine cellar is great, you can admire and buy beautiful paintings there.

I have never personally seen or experienced anything like this. An innkeeper who really stands behind his product and gives back what he advertises. It is an art hotel! The furniture may seem outdated at first glance. But that is what makes the hotel. It is simply art. The attention is meticulous to cleanliness and the bathroom is very modern in contrast to the room. The innkeeper is the artist in himself. He simply lives for what he markets. He showed us his wine cellar and he does everything himself. He looks after his barrels and makes the wine completely himself. It has to be said that you can taste it. Personally, I am not a wine connoisseur and I don't drink it, but he explains everything to you and in my opinion makes sense. I am a person who is usually very critical about life. All in all, I would be happy to book here again! Thank you for the great days!

Excellent cuisine! Everything was freshly prepared, served hot, and delicious. We haven't been this satisfied in a long time. The salad had a harmonious homemade dressing, the steak and schnitzel were delicious and cooked to perfection, and the chanterelle sauce was perfect. The restaurant was chic and comfortably furnished, and the staff were very attentive and competent. The wine on tap could be a bit cheaper, which is why we deducted points. The restaurant and the food get five stars from us. A definite recommendation!
