A Family Tradition of Winemaking Since 1728
Rich Heritage of Winemaking
Weingut Weckbecker is nestled in the stunning Terrassenmosel region of Moselkern, Germany. This family-run winery has been cultivating grapes since 1728, boasting over 275 years of winemaking tradition. Known for their exceptional wines crafted with passion and expertise, Weingut Weckbecker has been a certified organic producer since 2011, ensuring quality and sustainability in every bottle.
They offer a diverse selection of red, white, sparkling, and rosé wines, each blended to perfection.
Commitment to Organic Practices
Spanning 4 hectares of steep slopes between Cochem and Koblenz, Weingut Weckbecker employs manual labor for all vineyard tasks. Since 2011, the current owner has embraced organic viticulture, promoting beneficial insects to manage pests naturally. They follow a circular economy approach, avoiding synthetic fertilizers and instead enriching the soil with horse manure and straw to maintain its health and vitality.
Passion for Diverse Grape Varieties
While the Mosel region is renowned for Riesling, Weingut Weckbecker proudly produces a variety of high-quality wines. The unique combination of soil, sunlight, and temperature control allows them to craft exceptional Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Rivaner, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Cabernet Dorsa, and the innovative Cal 6-04. This new varietal, a cross between local Riesling and French Sauvignon, reflects the winery's commitment to quality and creativity. Look forward to tasting these exciting new wines, set to be released in 2021.
