A half day to enjoy the excellence of the Apulian production of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and wine (its majesty the Primtivo di Manduria). The guided visit will be in Manduria where we will start with a visit to an olive oil producer to discover all the secrets of the healthy symbol of the Mediterranean diet (history, different cultivars, milling techniques, organoleptic characteristics, nutritional facts, etc.). At the end of the visit and thanks to the Evo tasting you will learn somehow to recognize a good quality evoo from a bad one, its use in the cuisine and some traditional recipes. Manduria is synonymous of wine, in particular its world-famous DOC “Primitivo di Manduria” (it’s in the heart of the “triangle of Primitivo”). We will visit one of the most renowned wineries with its interesting Museum of the Primitivo Wine where it’s possible to understand the history of wine in Manduria, its tradition, and its identity.
