.Cheyf – exploring the Bosnian and Herzegovinian wine region

2,000 years of wine making history, vineyards that produced the favorite wine of Austrian emperors, Christian monks that grew their wine cellars during the Ottoman occupation – Bosnia and Herzegovina is full of exciting wine stories and history!

And still – you have probably never heard of Bosnian wine before, right?

Well, we were the same! When we opened our tour agency .Cheyf though, we were interested in exploring the wine region of this country a bit more. So we set out on a road trip with a friend and certified sommelier to explore the Herzegovinian wine route. And what can we say: It was a pleasant surprise!

On that day, the idea of our wine tour war born!

We wanted to create something fun – not only a tasting but an excursion into Bosnian wine, autochthonous grape varieties and wine making.

Good wine is a way of life for us and the winemakers that you‘ll meet on this tour, a philosophy we’d like to share with you. For us, a good wine tour includes not only the wine, but also its history, a leisurely stroll through the vineyards, simply sitting and admiring the scenery, talks with your tour mates, sharing delicious food at a communal table, and soaking up the vibe of each winery. To put it shortly: A whole lot of the laid-back, Mediterranean lifestyle of the Herzegovina region!
