Intensive Vineyard & Fine Wine Experience

If you're a lover of fine wines & want to experience a day visiting some of the best vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape, join us on a day of discovery of this exceptional appellation. It's where tradition is enhanced by modernism & excellence, coupled with the skills of many generations of family winemakers, many of whom can trace their roots back centuries. At the summit of the village stands the ruined château built by the popes in 14th century as a summer residence to escape the city heat of Avignon. In the morning we spend an immersive couple of hours visiting one of two family owned estates, learn about their heritage, visiting the cellars and sampling a selection of their well-known reds and lesser known white wines. You may even get to enjoy some of their rarer vintages. Time to stop for lunch in family owned restaurant in the village. During the afternoon a visit to two very different vineyards - first a winemaker owned by six generations of wine producers and the second a smaller, but equally important part of the local Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine appellation. We work with 6-8 of the most reputable award winning winemakers of the region, where quality & expertise - history & heritage are at the forefront of everything they do. During the day you might well meet one or two of the owners and have the opportunity to sample rarer vintages. This is an exceptional day out with some exceptional wines.

Tour itinerary

We will arrive to collect you from your hotel, Chambre d'hôte, villa or apartment.

We leave by car arriving in the village of Châteauneuf du Pape. Morning visit to a winery then a short drive to the village for lunch. The morning visit takes up most of the morning focussing on the history of the vineyard, the cellars and production of the wines and a tasting of their red and white AOP wines. After lunch a visit to the castle ruins and old village of Châteauneuf du Pape before visiting two other wineries for tastings to learn about the vine and production of wines in this outstanding region.

During the day you will visit three exceptional vineyards, visit the cellars, learn about their individual history and enjoy a tasting of the excellent wines. From here return to your hotel or villa.
