A Grand Wine Tasting
This is a sample of a tour that you can expect to experience.
Create enduring, unforgettable magical memories that you will cherish and treasure forever, from your visit to what is undeniably, the most beautiful province in all of France.
We will travel to the most charming and bewitching villages in Alsace. There we will visit 3 exceptional wineries cradled in amongst some of the most coveted Grand Cru’ vineyards in Alsace. Here you can enjoy the many breath-taking, picturesque landscapes of this alluringly exquisite region. On this tour, you will learn about Alsace’s fascinating history, its wonderful myriad of delicious wines but, you will also get to view the stunning old world architecture of the villages in this captivating wine region, all whilst in the company of your experienced tour guide.
Our first winery is located in Eguisheim, mentioned as early as 720AD. It is undoubtably one of the regions most picturesque medieval villages.
Surrounded by two of the most famous vineyards in Alsace, namely the Pfersigberg and Eichberg Grand Cru’ this charming village is a veritable wine lovers paradise.
Swirl, sniff and sip Grand Cru wines from the famed Pfersigberg, and Eichberg vineyards.
The historic village of Riquewihr dates from the middle ages and lies in the shadow of the Schonenbourg Grand Cru, famous for producing many of the best Rieslings in the whole of the region.
Lined with traditional brightly painted ancient buildings, wandering through this village will reveal to you the real Alsace as it was hundreds of years ago.
We will then take a break for lunch, (not included in the tour price). We can arrange a table at a small local bistro if you wish?
Arrival at our first winery 10:00 for a tasting of amongst other wines, Crémant d’Alsace. Hear the fascinating story about the creation of this wine and why it is so special.
Our next winery will be within the walls of ancient Riquewihr. It is here that you will taste some exceptional wines from one of the regions most acclaimed wine dynasties.
We will then travel to a Grand Cru vineyard where you will be able to walk amongst the vines as you sip upon a chilled glass of wine from that very vineyard (weather and time permitting).
Our third winery of the day will be in the charmingly small village of Katzenthal. Here you will get to experience the critically acclaimed wines of an exceptional boutique winemaking family, who are at the leading edge of innovation. Feel the atmosphere of an ancient cellar, the aged wooden foudres juxtaposed with the modernity of stainless steel fermentation vessels.
We will then travel back to either Colmar or Basel where we will return you to your hotel.

What a wonderful day
Colin is a fantastic tour guide with an amazing knowledge of Alsace and Alsatian wines. Each winery we visited with him was different, so we were able to discover the diversity of Alsatian wines, both modern and classic. Colin knows what he is talking about and what he recommends. We have already made arrangements with him for next year.

The best taste of Alsace!
If we could give Colin more than 5 stars, we would! From start to finish, there was nothing we would have changed or done differently. Communication was always on point, the vineyards Colin chose were high quality and so very kind and accommodating. Colin's knowledge of not just the wines, grapes, and terroir, but the area and history were incredible. He taught us so much in just one day! Finally, Colin goes way above and beyond. He made us lunch reservations at a fantastic restaurant, carried bags for us, and carried cases of wine to and from his vehicle. Then, the next day, he discovered we had forgotten an important package in his vehicle, so he drove 2 hours round trip, to return them to our hotel, and refused additional payment. This trip is worth way more than it's priced at! Thank you, Colin! We'll book again!
