Two days, one night. Three regions, four terroirs.

If you long to experience Italy through its noble vineyards, this journey promises you an immersive experience into beauty: from illustrious Valpolicella villas of Amarone to the land of Barolo and its castle.

Nicolò, a professional sommelier, and his counterpart Sergio, an entrepreneur with decades of global expertise in the wine industry, will guide you on this journey. The guides will drive you through all the journey with a 6 to 10-people professional van accordingly.

Day 1

This wine tour begins with the warm Valpolicella region, renowned for its exquisite Amarone wines. Here, you will have the opportunity to taste the wines of an historic XVI century villa, Nepos Villae, that has been producing wines for centuries. This family-owned winery is in the hills of Negrar, the capital of Valpolicella Classica, the historic heart of the wine region. This elegant mansion was born in 1510 and retains the traces of its past. The younger generation has learned from history and is dedicated to making the most magnificent wines of this terroir as Amarone DOCG and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG.

This tour continues to discover the art of sparkling wine production; this second wine tasting is led by a family who have been producing wines for four generations. We arrive in Franciacorta -the most elegant region for Italian bubbles- to taste the wines of I Barisei. This estate showcases the typical architectural traits of the historic rural houses of the area; its vineyards all lie within the Franciacorta glacial basin: this prehistoric feature gives a surprising richness of expressions and nuances in your glass, finesse and minerality are guaranteed. From the year 1898 to the organic certification, I Barisei has been working only by their knowledge of their ecosystem and with no pesticides. The chosen accomodation is in the proximity of this winery.

Day 2

We leave Franciacorta and Lombardy heading towards Piedmont. We reach the iconic Langhe, the hilly area where the Alps meet the Apennines mountains. This World Heritage Site is globally famous for its beauty, for its truffles and -of course, for its wines. Let’s start with a taste in Barbaresco right in Manera winery. This is a typical Langhe winery, an old and small family-run farmhouse that follows traditions handed down from father to son. Integrating old traditions and new techniques, this winery is environmentally friendly: from integrated pest management, to organic fertilizers and green harvesting, this winery respects the land and the indigenous grape variety of its vineyards. Barbaresco, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Barbera and Dolcetto are the most famous wines of the estate.

Moving from the Langa del Barbaresco to Langa del Barolo, this tour ends in the Barolo legend’s heart: the Barolo Castle. The Barolo Castle was the medieval residence of the Falletti family, the last marquises of Barolo. The castle is located on the hill of Barolo and overlooks the valley below. The wine museum visit, and the Barolo taste in the castle’s cellar are both included.
