Cycling Down the Wine Path

The wine region of Dealu Mare is one of the most famous and oldest wine-growing regions in Romania. It  is said to be the “Tuscany of Romania”. Your bike experience will include:

  • an excellent bike route ranging from 20-30 km on the hills of Dealu Mare area
  • visits to local sights
  • a visit to a premium winery including tour through the vineyards, wine tasting and a selection of Romanian cheeses and cold cuts
  • good exercise, most amazing wine and fresh grape juice (in autumn season)
  • bike rental

Program:

09.30 - meeting at Decathlon parking in North Bucharest

11.00 - meeting of the group in Urlati or Mierla Alba winery in Gura Vadului (if you prefer to meet there)
11.30 - departure from Bellu Manor towards Ceptura on an easy 10 km asphalt route with very low traffic or on off-road hilly route in Tohani area
13.00 – visit of a premium cellar and wine tasting
14.30 - return by bike to Urlati on paved route or using a more difficult hilly gravel route

Please note, there are more options to organize the bike tour regarding length as well as starting point. Depending on your wish and winery availability, we will adjust this together to suit your level.
