Excellent Sauternes and excellent visit. Friendly, family welcome for a visit to the wine cellars followed by a tasting. I also recommend the castle accommodation where we had a very nice stay.

We were shown around the vineyard and then the fermenting and bottling areas whilst all the time chatting about various aspects of the process of growing and making Sauternes. Vanessa was able to answer all of our questions (her English was perfectly good enough and we occasionally slipped into my ok French). I learnt a lot about the botrytis process and creating Sauternes. Recommend especially as such good value for an hour’s tour. The piece de resistance was tasting a 1988 Sauternes- the year we were married, let’s just say I wish I’d aged as well.
