Embark on a jeep tour through the vast 800 hectares of Tapada de Coelheiros, where nature, tradition, and craftsmanship unite. As you cross vineyards, walnut orchards, and oak forests, you’ll witness the estate’s deep harmony with the land. The tour concludes in the Wine Tourism area with a personalized tasting of five wines, perfectly paired with traditional Alentejo flavors — warm bread, local cheeses, and black pork sausages.

The image of Coelheiros reflects its connection to the land and traditions. Inspired by Arraiolos embroidery, it symbolizes patience and precision, much like the vineyard’s care for each grape. With organic methods and minimal intervention, Herdade de Coelheiros crafts wines of elegance, resilience, and longevity that evolve beautifully over time.

Today, I bought your 2015 Garrafeira, inspired by the presentation of the bottle, with its black label (which I loved). I'm going to try the wine before Christmas Eve to see if it will go well with the stuffed turkey Alentejo style. I hope so! Anyway, thanks for the challenge!

Fizemos or tour de 4*4 na properade, seguido de gustacao dos vinhos da casa. Nossas guias, Marlene and Catarina, sabiam tudo da propriedade e dos vinhos! Really worth a pena an experience, bem different the demais!

A fantastic tasting experience, I would really recommend you go here for a tasting or tour if you like organic wine and supporting family run vineyards. I booked my wine tasting via email on the same day, and the staff who ran my tasting were incredibly friendly, lovely and informative. The wines were great, especially the COELHEIROS and the TACO wine. Thank you for a great experience.

The sunset in the Alentejo montado is an experience I recommend. Especially on Valentine's Day!

Very beautiful vineyard. And they have good wine too! We came here to do a tour and a wine tasting. The jeep tour is unique and we got to see several different aspects of what they grow and produce at Coelheiros. This place is amazingly beautiful around sunset! It was really cool to see how cork trees grow and how cork is harvested. The wine tasting afterwards was done in their “store” which is nicely arranged. I loved the solid wood tables. Favorite wine was probably the White Tapada de Coelheiros. So tasty!

We chose to taste 5 wines and products from Alentejo. Wonderful view of the finca and better explanations from our guide Catarina.

This was a magical experience. I could not recommend it more. Tapada de Coelheiros sits in Igrejinha, a town near Evora. We were told about the Jeep tour and tasting by family and are beyond grateful that they had found this in the Alentejo region. There were several different options of tours, tastings and food offerings and we were able to choose from on their website. We arrived and were promptly escorted to two classic Jeeps to take a tour around the property. We were able to see everything from the vines to the walnut trees to the cork trees and even saw sheep. It was fascinating to learn that cork is harvested from the trees every 9 years and only done while grape harvesting (September) because the bark needs to be dry. We learned about what it took for the farm to become organic and all the local projects being done with the university in Evora. You can see that the team is constantly learning and applying what they have learned to their work to make each year's production better and better. I have been on numerous wine tours and tastings and this is by far the standout of any of them I have ever been to whether it was in California, Chile or the Douro Valley. What I appreciated most about this unique experience was learning about the regenerative farming done at Coelheiros as this isn’t something I’ve heard many vineyards discuss. Our tour guide's English was great and clear. I can’t forget to mention how absolutely beautiful the property is. There are several picnic tables set up throughout the property that offer breathtaking views where we were able to stop and take in the view. I saw on their website that you could take a sunset tasting which I can only imagine how stunning that would be. Now the wine tasting. The tasting room was beautiful and open. I enjoyed that we had a beautiful view of the landscape while tasting. We tried several wines and I loved the 'Terroir' series. The 2020 Sobreira was my favorite with the 2014 Taco being second. My one complaint is that I wanted our guide to tell us more stories behind the wines. I did love hearing that the vineyard chose to keep the culture of the area as part of the label with the tapestry design and that the names of the wines are all based on parts of the farm. Finally, we loved that we could order wine to be shipped home to share with our friends. We can’t wait to go back!
