A fascinating tour of the winery is worth your time. The territory of the palace is huge, planted with trees, lawns, flower beds and dotted with ethnic patterns, which colorfully convey all the warmth of Georgian culture and its winemaking. Entrance to the territory for the excursion is free (well, no one told us anything about the payment) and you will be warmly welcomed by the staff.

Absolutely in love with the place and story behind it. We arranged in advance excursion with guide, wine tasting and also book a table in restaurant, suggest to visit a place outside the city. Great option for tourists to combine with Mtskheta visit as it is on the way to Chateau.

It is a beautiful place, the tour costs 15 GEL but you can enter the farm for free, there is also a restaurant where you can taste wine.

We booked in advance a visit to the winery with tasting with a Russian-speaking guide, the guide was very pleasant and interesting. The area is large and well-kept. It is possible to park the car by appointment.

I was just outside of this place because they work 10-18.00, so I didn’t have time to visit their museum yet. But they have beautiful territories with a park , so you could walk, also the photo zone is good for weddings. Nearby they have a restaurant “orangery”, so the whole day could be spent there. Next time I will come on 10am to visit their museum and to have time for a lunch in the restaurant. Also you could buy some wine there.

An experience of it's kind, visit to Chateau Mukhrani was the highlight of our visit to Georgia. Our guide made reservations and at the winery, we had private tasting and tour very well hosted by Lucas. It was thrillig to get all the details of wine making, their flavours and their pairing. Situated just 40 mins from Tbilisi, the winery displays the feeling of royalty and since we visited around noon, the place was quite and peaceful. Lucas is a knowledgeable person, young and energetic wheras all other staff were courteous. We tasted four types of wine with different pairings. We purchased a few bottles too, based on suggestions from Lucas. Highly recommended if you are in Tbilisi or traveling to Kutaisi from Tbilisi - to visit Chateau Mukhrani.
