Write a reviewThe winemaker, Jacques, was a very gracious host. He spent the afternoon with us, knowledgably answering our many questions about winemaking and the Beaujolais region. We got to see the vineyard, and Jacques showed us the specialized machinery used to maintain the acreage. The tasting included many of his vintages from recent years, and he guided us through the different flavor profiles of each. A great way to spend a few hours!
Enjoyed the morning with Jacques as she shared with his experience and operations at Domain du Tane. Enjoyed the wine tasting even more and his enthusiasm and understanding of wine from this region of France.
Jacques was a wonderful host who shared a wealth of information on wine making and Beaujolais wines and showed us his facilities and processes. The best part? His wines are very good! I only wish we could have fit more bottles in our suitcase! We enjoyed this experience greatly!

I booked this visit as touring the area. This vineyard is just off the Route des Vin du Beaujolais, so really easy to find (Google maps). When I booked I expected to join a small group but actually we were two guests. The great benefit was that we had a personal tour with the owner/manager, who as very easy to talk to, gave a very well informed and practice based guided visit and, as three guys chatting together, had a very pleasant tasting session (I was the driver, so, just a sip per wine). As you would expect, we purchased a fine selection of wine, and at very reasonable prices. I would recommend this tour if you want to see a small producer. Amazingly, this tour was only €7.00, and worth every cent. Finally, our host is a genuinely nice chap, and made us most welcome.
