The Bio Vio winery offers visitors a unique experience in their cellar with the chance to taste the locally produced wines and oils in a unique setting. The tasting room is large and has a welcoming internal courtyard, which is ideal for hosting groups of visitors. The tasting experience is available in English, German or French and is available during the winery’s opening hours. For those wanting to extend their stay, there is the Pigato farmhouse which is adjacent to the cellar and which has been renovated into a number of apartments catering for groups of different sizes. White staying at the farmhouse guests can conveniently visit the City of Abenga, the Albenga Museums, Gallinara Island, play golf at Garlenda or enjoy a day of fun at the Le Caravelle water park and the Caves of Toirano.

Bio Vio- Winery Growing Herbs along with Olive Grooves The name Bio Vio comes from the name Bastia, which is the location of the Bio Vio wine farm. The Vio family who started the farm, have been growing herbs for generations on the plans of Albengo, along with olive groves and vineyards along the Arroscia Valley, high up onto the slopes of Ranzo. The use of pesticides, fertilizers and suchlike chemical products is not part of the Bio Vio tradition and organic farming is not a technical or economical choice – it is simply engrained in the local culture.
