Since the end of World War II, they have transformed the estate into a respected name in the wine industry, with their wines now enjoyed in around twenty countries worldwide.

Unique Terroir and Sustainable Practices

The vineyards span three hectares of diverse soils, benefiting from the region's ideal rainfall and sunshine. This unique microclimate contributes to the authenticity of their wines. The primary grape varieties cultivated here include Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah, which are used to produce a range of red, white, and rosé wines. Committed to environmental sustainability, Château Le Grand Verdus has held HVE certification since 2018 and transitioned to organic practices in 2023. The estate avoids chemical additives, allowing the natural flavors of the grapes to shine through in every bottle.

Amazing private tour and degustation by Inez at Château Le Grand Verdus! The château itself is stunning: speaking to the imagination as an old walled building. You can do a nice walking tour on the domaine, with a little guide explaining about what you see, what nature offers,… and of course last but not least the tour and tasting with amazing explanation and nice wines!

Wonderful tasting w Elodie. She was very kind and answered all of our questions thoughtfully and with expertise. It was a pleasure to get to know her and would highly recommend a visit to the chateau grand versus if you want to try innovative wines in a lovely setting.

Excellent example of a "simple" Bordeaux winery whose wines are really worth paying for. The wines have body and elegance and go perfectly with hearty, elegant French specialties. I had an entrecote double with gratin savoyarde and fresh garden vegetables, it went perfectly. Then there was a seamless transition to dessert, a small cheese platter where the wine also cut a perfect figure. Santé

Visit of the castle made with Élodie (10 euros per person with final tasting) I highly recommend because very warm welcome and many instructive explanations on the wine world in complete transparency. We feel the warm side of the owners and the whole team and their desire to communicate about their passion by opening the doors of their domain to as many people as possible.
