Welcome to Pieter van Gent Winery, where you can enjoy a relaxing stay and exceptional wine tastings. Begin your visit in the winery’s tank room, where traditional methods meet modern technology in the winemaking process. Witness firsthand how various wines are crafted and learn about the different grape varieties used.

Your tasting experience will take place in a charming cask hall, featuring around twenty German oak casks used for aging their exquisite wines. Join the winemaker for a tasting of some of the finest selections from their collection. Don't miss the small museum that showcases the rich history of the winery. Additionally, you can savor the unique combination of fortified wines paired with chocolate for a delightful treat.

The greatest experience! Jeremy was an absolute class act, a wealth of knowledge and so entertaining! After running a few minutes late on our tour bus and the previous winery declining us Jeremy and the team happily took our group in last minute after closing time and gave us an incredible experience, highlight of our day!

We went there for a tasting it was really cool. The staff that was helping with the tasting knew about the wines and the stories from the place were really interesting to hear. We got 2 wines. And we are really looking forward to have it soon. Great place!

I genuinely wish that “selfish me” 😂 was typing from this truly beautiful & majestic place RIGHT NOW 🤩. It’s exquisite. Friends & I house booked a weekend in town in Mudgee & prior research (correctly) informed us “this place is a MUST”. I didn’t even know White Port existed, much less was created here! I’ve had theirs in my cupboard at all times (Never without it!) ever since. My liver & tastebuds & brain all prefer it over red port (which I still also adore). I’m not a Vigneron (if only I were!) but I’m from 3 gens of dairy farmers (horrible life, unlike growing up on a winery) & my parents’ place at The Pocket (Nthn NSW) was 175 acres, which I know to be “not that huge”. So I’m still positively impressed (read: astonished) that the brilliants here create all of these “unquestionable WONDERS” on 100 acres. YEP! They make all of this on 100 acres. That alone proves their skills & worth. Sincere thanks FOREVER. No matter who you are nor where you live - don’t worry if you can’t get here - pop into any decent large bottle shop in Oz (eg: Dan Murphy’s, BWS, any of the biggies, etc) & ENSURE you buy the white port from here. It’s not just for drinking - chill 30mls per dish & pour over vanilla ice cream & fresh peaches for an affordable dessert which will blow your dinner guests away with “something amazing we can do at home” 🥰🥰🥰🌈🌈🌈👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️🎉🎉🎉🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇 xxx

We had a lovely experience at Pieter Van Gent with our cellar lady Kim / Jessica ( she remonded me of my niece Jessica ). She was amazing and very knowledgeable about the history of the winery. Thanks so much for a great experience
