Chateau les Tourelles - Chateau Dauphiné-Rondillon

Bought in 1938 by Jean Darriet, 6th generation of winemakers, this estate has always been predicted for the white wines production. A global surface of 10 hectares with half planted in Merlot/Cabernet Franc and half in Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, the soil has the potential for good Terroir wines.
Its a Clayey gravel soil. For the red variety, the Merlot is largely planted. The Cabernet Franc gives a good structure to the wine.
For the white variety, the Semillon is largely planted.The excellent quality of the crop is mainly due to the combination between the Semillon, perfectly adapted on this soil and the exposition south/south West.

Tasting Notes

80 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark rubis color. Intense red jammy fruits with cherry and strawberry on the nose. Strong attack on the palate of red jammy fruits with beautiful and soft tannins. A greedy and soft red Cadillac Cotes de Bordeaux
