Lovely place! We came spontaneously to Balgera's wine property and Paolo welcomed us very kindly. He offered several really good wines to us and explained a lot about the wines, the Valtellina region and the family business which they operate already in the 5th generation. 100% recommended!

Historic Valtellina winery dating back to the end of the 19th century. The boy who accompanied us during the visit and tasting (Matteo) was immediately friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable and passionate about his profession. The tasting space is a pleasant period room with frescoes from the 1700s. During the tasting, the differences between the sub-areas of Valtellina and also the differences between the different vines of the same sub-area belonging to the company were explained to us with geographical maps in hand (Valgella sub-area), both on a theoretical level but also on a practical level net of tasting, as well as the differences of the same grape variety based on the climatic trend of the year. The point of view expressed by Matteo in consideration of the difference between organic and non-organic methods was also very interesting. Excellent quality wines, average effort for the valley, in my opinion too expensive. The accompanying platter is excellent, perfect with a little more quantity. All things considered, it was a positive experience that I recommend.

What an amazing tasting. Great wines and so much knowledge and passion. If you are looking a winery where they release the wines as they are meant to be drunk, this is the place. Learning about the vintage and vineyard variation was fascinating
