Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery and its wines stand out in the sea of wineries around the world for their varieties of wines.

The wine ranges from simple Riesling white wines to something as extraordinary as Jalapeno wines and Agave wines

The winery offers around 30 different variations of wines each with its unique aroma of spices and berries and nuts to the rich taste of cranberries and cocoa beans and even floral notes. The man behind these remarkable wines is Christopher Boyd.

Learning the art of winemaking

Originally from Europe and settled in Syracuse NY, Christopher embarked on his journey to winemaking with his mere love for alcohol. During his travelling job back in mid 90s Christopher was acquainted with fine wines and the beauty behind wine making. He soon picked up wine history books and delved deeper into the art of wine making. In 1995, Christopher made his first batch of wine in the basement of his house just as a hobby which soon turned from few jugs to barrels. He then made his next move taking his wine-making hobby into a next level turning it into a fully processing winery.

Soon he was mixing flavours adding pears and apple notes to German grapes. He made meads from fermented wildflower honey and even blended raspberry wines and whiskey mead resulting into a sweet treat. The winery allows Pennsylvania farmers to grow fruits for them which are then turned into different varieties of wines. These blended wines are bottled for selling and even available in tasting room for few sips.
