The Craft of Winemaking

Originally from Europe and later settling in Syracuse, NY, Christopher's passion for winemaking began with a simple love for fine wines. In the mid-90s, his travels introduced him to the intricate world of winemaking, prompting him to study wine history and techniques. In 1995, he crafted his first batch of wine in his basement, which quickly evolved from a hobby into a fully operational winery.

Unique Flavors at Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery

Christopher began experimenting with flavors, incorporating pear and apple notes into German grapes. He also created meads from fermented wildflower honey and blended raspberry wines with whiskey mead for a delightful treat. The winery collaborates with local Pennsylvania farmers to source fresh fruits, which are transformed into a variety of wines. These blended wines are available for tasting, allowing visitors to savor the unique flavors crafted at Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery.

I love the wines here. The grape and fruit wines are made from fermented grapes and fruit and not "flavors" or "flavoring". The customer service is always tentative, friendly, fun and patient. I highly recommend trying out this local small family business. The prices are reasonable too.

I have been to Cardinal Hollow Winery several times through the years for various events and have enjoyed it each and every time. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, very welcoming. I enjoy the wines very much, especially the Meritage. The nutty sailor, with some vanilla ice cream or just sipping is very delicious. Chris is a very welcoming and conscientious owner, and a funny guy too. :) It really is a little treasure of a place in Montgomery county. I'll be back soon for sure.

This is such a wonderful venue for a wedding reception, graduation party or any other event. Elegant and cozy. It is right next to North wales, PA and Lansdale PA. Cardinal Hollow winery has Great Catering, amazing wines and ciders, and full service for anything else that you need. They use the best decorators, photographers, entertainers, custom cakes, wedding DJ, Photo Booth, the works. Oh, and there is a tiki bar for those who want an outdoor party venue.
