Colognola Tenuta Musone, A Family Winery
Cantina Colognola Tenuta Musone began their winemaking journey in 1870 on top of hills in Castiglione Tinella. They later moved the winery to the center of the village in 1929. Generations of the Dogliotti Family have been running the winery ever since. They combine tradition and history with modern techniques to produce high-quality wines. There is an old historic part in the winery that is not in use now. It is kept as a museum with old winemaking equipment. Erik, Ivan, and Matteo Dogliotti work hard to produce and share their wines worldwide.
The wine produced at the Colognola Tenuta Musone Winery show tradition and unique qualities of the Marche region.
The Winemaking Process at Colognola Tenuta Musone Winery
The estate is located at almost 360 meters above sea level overlooking the Monte Conero Valley. The climate of the area is perfect for vine cultivation. The soil is clay and calcareous, producing high-quality grapes and great extra virgin olive oil. The winemakers pick the best grapes and transport them to the winery for further processing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for the white wines. The wine’s proper maturation takes place in oak barrels, giving the wines nice flavors and aroma.
