Château de l’Hurbe is perched on the scenic hillsides overlooking the Dordogne River. Since Marc Bousseau took over the estate in 1982, he has transformed the vineyard, ensuring that every grape produced is utilized. The estate boasts a rich history that dates back to the 18th century.
The Vineyard of Château de l’Hurbe
The estate spans 27 hectares dedicated to red grape production, with 10 hectares in Côtes de Bourg and 13.5 hectares in Bordeaux. The primary grape varieties cultivated here include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. Additionally, 3.5 hectares are reserved for white grapes, featuring Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, which are used to create dry white wines, Crémant, and sparkling grape juice.
