The Location of Lovely Château Les Amoureuses

Château Les Amoureuses is located in Bourg-Saint-Andéo which is on the right side of Rhône River near the Gorges de l’Ardèche. The local climate combines a Nordic wind with sunny Mediterranean weather creating excellent tension in the wines grown in the area.

Reorganization of Château Les Amoureuses

Jean-Pierre Bedel and his wife Florence purchased the winery and its vineyards in 2011. They redesigned the whole estate and modified the vineyard, changed the choice of grapes and replaced it with the new ones, reorganized the vineyard management, verification processes, aging, and blending.

The Impressive Grapes of Château Les Amoureuses

The estate covers an area of 76 hectares and the vineyards are spread throughout two towns of Bourg-Saint-Andéol and Saint-Marcel-d’Ardèche. The terroir here contains clay-limestone and limestone marls. The vineyard has 90% red grape varieties and 10% white grape varieties. They plant Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Merlot, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier. Later on, they added Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Marselan, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Tannat, and Touriga Nacional as well. The density of plantation in the vineyard is 4000 feet per hectare. The cellar of Château Les Amoureuses is a sight to behold, with darkness and stars engraved on the walls.
