CVA Canicattì- Winery born in the wake of Sicilian Peasant Movement
In Sicily, Italy lies the CVA Canicattì winery which was born in 1969 in the wake of the Sicilian peasant movement. Since the beginning, the production project has been supported by the convinced adhesion of numerous farmers who share value and cultural heritage linked to the civilization of the vine and wine. In the mid-2000s, a new production path oriented towards wine excellence matured, an investment plan in the technological and organizational field that touched all the sectors of production allowed CVA Canicattì to define a new and higher concept of wine quality.
Terre di Nero d’Avola
The “Terre di Nero d’Avola” that relives in the production of CVA Canicattì brings to you in a glass, all the winemaking traditions of the territory and expressing all its potential with its Nero D’Avola. Since 1969, the love and strong productive bond with this land have united the passion of more than 480 vignerons in CVA Canicattì winery, a soundly productive enterprise that is projected towards the challenges of the most demanding markets all over the world.
Different Grape Varieties
The wide range of variety of grapes that the staff at CVA CANICATTI winery cultivate includes Grillo, Catarratto, Inzolia, Chardonnay, Nero D’Avola, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Nerello Cappuccio, Nerello Mascalese. The most amazing grapes are harvested from the vineyards to send to the cellar where they are used for wine-making. The prime categories of wine produced in the winery include red, white, rose, sparkling, and dessert wines.
The wines are sold under the labels DOC/ IGP.
