The Centuries Old Heritage of Domaine de Malavieille
Farmer Flucran Reynes inherited Domaine de Malavieille from Monsieur De Thémine who had to flee the country in 1793 to escape the French Revolution. Fulcran and his wife Zénobie cultivated the vineyard, and later, handed it down to their grand-daughter Cécile Vigné. The current owner is her descendant; Mireille Lacas-Bertrand, who aimed to make wine in honour of the land it’s produced from.
The Biodynamic Vineyard of Domaine de Malavieille
The Bertrand family now entirely runs and makes wine on the Saint Saturnin de Lucian and Montpeyroux vineyards. The family uses 17 grape varieties to offer a wide vareity of aromas and subtle texture to their wines. They grow all their grape varieties within the soils of the Languedoc Region. The winery holds a certification in biodynamic agriculture. Domaine de Malavieille is an award-winning winery with many prestigious awards and medals in the wine industry.
