The Domaine de Poulvarel sits in Sernhac, near the Pont du Gard, It is a family vineyard that winemakers cultivate with a passion for generations. It covers an area of 40 hectares of vines. This vineyard of the Rhône Valley offers amazing tastings of red, white and wines. They produce their wines in Costières de Nîmes and Vins de Pays appellations. The winery boasts a noteworthy modern geometry design. It uses Pont du Gard stones and a contemporary and insulating cladding. Domaine de Poulvarel has award-winning vintages. The winemaker at the winery combines their strength and know-how to offer wines worthy of the prominent tables.
They use Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvèdre grape varieties to give a strong expression to their wines. You will find each of their products reflecting the characteristics and uniqueness of their terroir. The shallower and gravelly soils, as well as Sauvignons, cabernet, and Merlot grapes enable them to offer fruity and surprisingly sweet wines.
In addition to lovely wines, the winery offers a great wine tourism experience. The estate has two ancient tunnels “Perrottes” and “Cantarelles.” Pascal Glas, a native of Sernhac, used these tunnels as his playground. He decided to pay tribute by offering their names to two of his most prominent cuvées. Today, tourists can visit the site to discover these tunnels. Make sure you book your visits to Domaine de Poulvarel. Morever, the Poulvarel estate has a wine-manufacturing cellar and a tasting cellar.
