Domaine l’Or de Line and Organic Production

The Domaine l’Or de Line estate began in 2007, and for more than 10 years, Paule and Gérard Jacumin cared for the winery and its production. They had experience of several decades of work in the Châteauneuf du Pape region. The estate of 9 ha is divided into two parts, where one parcel of vineyards belongs to Gerard’s family and the other half to Paule’s. Both are winemakers from the Châteauneuf du Pape Family and successfully run the winery. Paule and Gérard, eat organic, live organic, and make great efforts to defend the environment for future generations. Domaine l’Or de Line’s winemaking philosophy embodies organic winemaking and a true concern for the environment.

Varying Soil Types and Their Influence

In Châteauneuf du Pape, there are several types of soils that Domaine l’Or de Line work with. On the terraces, there are large silica pebbles that cover the ground and help store heat and sunshine from the day to restore the grapes during the night. This helps to produce quite powerful, robust, red wines. Limestone smaller pebbled- clay soils offer well-balanced wines and sandy soils help balance the aromas of certain styles of wines.
