Il Molinaccio, Built on Remains of Old Mill in the Historical Montepulciano Town
The winery Il Molinaccio is built on an old mill’s remains in the historical Montepulciano town. In ancient cadastral maps, it is shown by the name Molinaccio. The mill has been renovated, and guests can stay in the new luxury guesthouse and enjoy nature’s beauty surrounded by vineyards, oaks, orchards, and olive groves. It also includes a swimming pool with safe water so that it does not affect the tourists’ skin, and they can have an excellent time here with the best wines and quality food.
Perfect Microclimate for Wine Making
Along with the estate, the Salcheto stream flows, and the owners have made a path where guests can take walks and meditate in the lap of nature. The beautiful estate features a beautiful farm with 2. Hectares of brand new vineyards planted in recent years that are 20% Merlot and 70% Sangiovese. Their vineyards produce La Spinosa, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Il Golo, and Rosso di Montepulciano DOCG. They distill Grappa di Vino Nobile in collaboration with Cipriani Liquori to make Il Finocchiaccio, infused with wild fennel alcohol.
Organically Cultivated Vineyards
The winery desired to become organic and sustainable and received organic certification in February 2017. The water in the well is purified before use, and the photovoltaic system allows them to cover their energy requirements and even recharge their guest’s electric cars. All visitors here can enjoy their wines along with tasty local food made using home-grown produce. You will also enjoy tarts made using jams from fruits grown in their gardens.
