Famous producers of the traditional Chianti Colli Senesi and San Gimignano wines

Elite-level experience of the winery owner

La Roccacia’s is in Chianti’s San Gimignano, and the owner, Franco Ricci, began winemaking in 1988 when he got a Wine Technician Diploma from the Agriculture Technical Institute of Siena. For ten years, he worked at Guicciardini Strozzi and strengthened his love and passion for making high-quality wines as he was responsible for transforming grapes into quality wine. Through all this work, he gained a piece of great knowledge on how to run a modern cellar and its day-by-day operations. Now, he successfully runs his own wine estate, La Roccaia.

The La Roccaia farm

Franco’s grandfather started the winemaking to be close to nature and gradually expanded it to become one of the top producers of San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi wines that are famous worldwide. The company started with 5 hectares of vineyards but gradually expanded to 18 hectares. Apart from their main wines, they even make Vinsanto del Chianti, a Champenoise method sparkling wine and Rose wine. They even have an olive grove for making extra virgin olive oil.

Beautiful and panoramic surroundings

The La Roccaia farm lies around 9 kilometers from San Gimignano, and you can check out the amazing village from the company’s hill. The place is famous worldwide for its unique nature and panoramic views. Guests and wine lovers are welcome all year long at La Roccaia for a nice wine tasting session.
